Product description The Sennheiser MD 42 On-The-Air Interview Kit from provides a microphone, a station ID flag and a mic holster case. Be prepared for the next breaking story!
The Sennheiser MD 42 is a handheld microphone designed for electronic-news-gathering (ENG) and field production (EFP) applications. The dynamic capsule features an omnidirectional polar pattern that ensures maximum speech intelligibility, without necessarily having the microphone pointed directly at the speaker. The rugged MD 42 is built to withstand the rigors of use on the road. A shockmounted capsule ensures low handling noise.
The 2.25" Square Microphone Flag fits any size handheld ENG microphone. The flag includes two foam inserts that accommodate various handle sizes. The square area is black and provides sufficient space for a station ID logo.
The Porta Brace MH-2 is a 10" Mic Holster designed to keep your microphone handy and ready to use. It is made of durable, 1000-denier Cordura. There is a short front zipper for securing the microphone in place. It is supplied with two "D" rings for clipping Piggin' Strings (cable ties).
