The MKE 2 digital from Sennheiser is a professional solution for mobile recording that can be utilized to capture audio for several applications using iOS devices such as iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad mini, and much more. With its wide range of applications, whether for videos, recordings or interviews, the MKE 2 digital membrane is robust against all environmental influences.The MKE 2 digital omnidirectional condenser microphone is connected via Lightning connector to modern iOS devices - allowing the jack socket to remain free for monitoring headphones as needed. An Apogee external converter does the analog-to-digital signal conversion using 24-bit/96 kHz sampling rate when connected to a iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. This allows for a signal that surpasses CD quality.The corresponding apps (MetaRecorder and Maestro) for recording and control are included in the package. In addition, the apps deliver metadata for further processing, thus making recording a simple matter. Essential features of MetaRecorder can also be controlled from the Apple Watch - start and stop recording, add a take to favorites, add markers or set your microphone input level.
