Product description This B&H Kit combines the Sennheiser MKE600 Shotgun Microphone with a Rycote Super-Blimp Windshield to create a professional film and video audio recording system with protection from shock, vibration, and extreme wind noise. The MKE 600 is a shotgun microphone designed for use with a camcorder or video DSLR. With its high level of directivity, the microphone focuses on the sounds in front of the camera, while attenuating unwanted sound coming from the sides and rear. The MKE 600 can be phantom powered or operated on an AA battery for about 150 hours. An integrated camera shoe and shock mount provides convenient on camera mounting. The rugged and all metal housing means the microphone will function perfectly in outdoor recording situations.
The Super-Blimp NTG is a complete windshield and shock-mounting system for the MKE600 microphone. The kit provides patented Lyre Technology and a broadcast industry basket to protect against from shocks, vibrations, and wind noise—all with acoustic transparency. A Windjammer, designed to slip over the basket, protects against extreme wind noise. A Rycote 90° Shortie XLR connector is situated inside the basket, complete with an integral RF shield to protect against the kind of dirty audio attributed to radio interference. Furthermore, a boom adapter and pistol grip handle are included with the unit. - Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone The MKE 600 from Sennheiser is a shotgun microphone designed for use with a camcorder or video DSLR.
