The Sennheiser MKH-416 is the featured shotgun microphone in this kit. As standard in all Ultimate Kits, a carbon fiber boom pole, Canare XLR cable and complete Rycote Windshield system are included to provide the user with everything necessary for capturing audio in professional applications. - Sennheiser MKH-416 Short Shotgun Interference Tube Microphone Designed for recording audio in film, radio, and television the MKH 416 from Sennheiser is a short shotgun interference microphone optimized for outdoor applications. It offers excellent directional control in a compact design with high consonant articulation and rejection of feedback. The unit is highly immune to humidity because of its RF condenser design. It operates as a hypercardioid at low and medium frequencies with a lobar pattern above 2 kHz.
