Product description The Sensei Pro 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder and 77mm Adapter Ring Kit is designed to allow for the convenient use of 100mm-wide, 2mm-thick filters on a lens with 77mm front filter threads. While in use, vignetting is prevented on wide-angle, non-fisheye lenses with focal lengths as low as 10mm for APS-C sensor digital cameras, and 16mm for 35mm film and full-frame sensor digital cameras.
Use of the filter holder is easily accomplished by first screwing the included Sensei Pro 77mm Adapter Ring for 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder onto a compatible lens. Separately-available adapter rings are available for lenses with 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, or 82mm front filter threads. After being fitted onto an adapter ring, the filter holder's push-pull locking pin helps to provide a reliable, yet adjustable connection that allows the holder to be rotated 360°, permitting the use of graduated neutral density and other filters that are enhanced by varied positioning. A locking screw next to the Sensei Pro 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder's locking pin ensures that the grip on an adapter ring remains secure.
The Sensei Pro 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder is pre-installed with two pairs of filter slots, a configuration that accommodates two rectangular filters. Also included is a third filter slot which allows up to three rectangular filters to be used at the same time. Each Sensei Pro Adapter Ring for 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder has grooved edges along it's outer rim that allows the compatible filter holder's alignment teeth to fit, which helps to ensure optimal positioning of the holder and the filters placed within it.
Aside from 77mm rear male threads which allow it to connect to a lens, the Sensei Pro 77mm Adapter Ring for 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder also features 86mm front female threads. That feature enables this adapter ring to accommodate a thin, 86mm round filter when used along with the Sensei Pro 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder. If a thin, 86mm round filter is used on the Sensei Pro 77mm Adapter Ring for 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder, the rectangular filter slot closest to the rear of an attached Sensei Pro 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder becomes unavailable. If a filter holder is not attached, the Sensei Pro 77mm Adapter Ring for 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder may be used as a step-up ring, permitting the use of thin or standard 86mm round filters on lenses with 77mm filter threads. This adapter ring features a lightweight, aluminum-alloy construction that has a corrosion-resistant, black anodized finish for durability.
