The concept behind the Duality series involves taking the best of both worlds, when it comes to active and passive technologies, by retaining the sonic versatility of a passive design with the dynamic possibilities active circuity imparts on your sound. So with this pickup, not only do you have the flexibility of passive voicing, but you also experience the benefits of working with an onboard active preamp.
The Duality is notable for providing a responsive, organic feel, as well as a tonal complement for metal, blues, and rock. The lows are hefty, yet nuanced. The highs hold an extra dimension in their timbre. The midrange is full and robust. As such, the pickup is as well suited for chordal work as it is for single-note riffs.
