Product description The 8000 V-Lock Quick Release Base Plate with EVF Mount from SHAPE is a rod support system and shoulder rig for the cinema cameras that is designed to put the camera over your shoulder, a shooting position preferred by many operators. It features the Paparazzi Handle with Universal EVF Mount that, when shooting handheld, acts as an offset for the viewfinder so you can line it up with your eye. The system is designed for cinema cameras such as the Sony PMW-F55 and PMW-F5, Panasonic AF100, and many RED models. It can also be used with camcorders such as the Sony PMW-200 and PMW-300.
The base plate features standard 15mm rods with LWS (light weight support) spacing in the front and back for mounting accessories such as follow focuses, matte boxes, battery plates, and more. It features a pair of adjustable 8" rods at the front and 4" rods at the back. Longer rods are also available separately if required. A V-lock delta style interface on the bottom allows the base plate to clip into many ENG-style quick release adapters. A pair of Arri rosettes, towards the front on both sides, allows you to add hand grips, and a set of tapped 1/4"-20 and 3/8"16 holes let you add articulating arms and other accessories.
The Paparazzi Handle provides a secure point of contact when moving the camera rig. It also features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tapped holes for accessory arms and adapters and includes an EVF (electronic view finder) offset mount. The EVF mount features one 1/4"-20 screw on the bottom and one to the side and is compatible with Cineroid, Alphatron, and other EVFs. 8000 V-Lock Quick Release Baseplate - Provides two ARRI rosette sockets for handles and other accessories
