The SHAPE Cage with 15mm Lightweight Rod System for Panasonic GH5 includes a form-fitting cage, REVOLT top handle grip, quick release plate, adjustable Rod Bloc system, and a pair of 10" 15mm rods. The cage wraps securely around the GH5 camera body, preventing unwanted rotation while providing an abundance of 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 accessory threads. The camera is fixed to the cage by a 1/4"-20 screw under the unit, and the position is secured with the back and sides of the cage, so it will not move forward when equipped with a heavy lens.
The cage provides quick and easy access to the lens release button, battery door, and memory card. It features an open access on top for mounting accessories to the GH5's electronic hot shoe. A second built-in shoe on the side offers an additional accessory mounting point. The cage is designed to be compatible with the micro-HDMI cable protector lock on the side, to secure the use of your HDMI cable. The adjustable Rod Bloc system allows for optimal adjustment of your camera's optical center. Its travel height can be adjusted with the help of an Allen key. The included 10" rods can be inserted into the Rod Bloc system to attach more equipment.
The REVOLT top handle provides a comfortable grip on your camera and can be quickly inserted or removed with the built-in shoe attachment. The frame is made from robust aluminum, and the grip from Canadian maple wood for maximum comfort. The top handle is also threaded with multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw threads for mounting accessories. This rig system can be used as a table stand or can be attached to a tripod, thanks to the quick release baseplate. The baseplate features a removable support bracket for the Metabones EF adapter. In the absence of a Metabones adapter, the 1/4"-20 screw is captive so you don't have to remove it from the cage when sliding the bracket from under the cage.
