Product description Transform your a7 II series mirrorless camera into a capable video-shooting system with the Cage with 15mm Rod System from Shape. This model starts with a form-fitting cage that provides multiple attachment points for accessories, a removable, rotatable top handle, and a quick release baseplate system with two 15mm rods for other videomaking tools. The cage itself retains access to all controls and ports and prevents the camera from rotating. It offers multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for accessories as well as a cold shoe mount on the top. It is easily mounted to tripods and has an HDMI cable protector lock. Additionally, it has a support bracket for the Metabones EF adapter and is compatible with the Sony XLR-K2M XLR Adapter. - Cage for Sony a7 II, a7S II, & a7R II Form-fitting to the Sony a7 II series of mirrorless cameras, this Cage from Shape will help you transform your camera into a more capable video-making tool without compromising access to critical controls, ports, and slots, such as the lens release button, battery, and memory card slot. It wraps securely around the camera body, preventing unwanted rotation while providing an abundance of 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for easily adding accessories. Furthermore, a cold shoe placed on the top allows for select shoe-mounted arms and tools to be utilized with ease. For those looking to mount this cage on a support system, a 1/4"-20 thread is available on the base, along with a place for a 1/4"-20 screw to secure the cage to the camera.
Not content to just provide mounts, this cage also offers numerous features, including an HDMI cable protector lock to prevent loss of connection during a critical shot. Another unique addition to this cage is a dedicated support bracket for users of an optional Metabones Canon EF to Sony E adapter. This ensures the weight of heavy adapted lenses is properly supported, and the bracket has a captive screw that stays out of the way when not in use. Users looking for higher audio quality will benefit from a design that permits use of the separately available Sony XLR-K2M XLR Adapter without issue. Finally, it has an ergonomic grip that allows for comfortable handheld operation. UPC: 629266005088 - Sony a7S Baseplate The Sony a7S Baseplate from SHAPE is designed to be used in conjunction with SHAPE's a7S Cage. It features two 15mm rod ports and a quick-release V-lock mounting interface. To make your a7S Cage compatible with the quick-release interface, a V-lock delta plate adapter comes included that installs underneath the cage. With the cage mounted, the baseplate's design places the optical center of camera between the two rods and the lens at a height suitable for use with a matte box. A pair of 10" long 15mm rods are included.
