Out-of-the-Box Digital Signage

Built-In SoC (System on a Chip)
• The PN-M401 has an integrated SoC controller driven by the ARM Cortex-A17 quad-core processor with 2GB of memory and 8GB of storage. It has the Android 4.4 OS onboard, which has several types of signage support software pre-installed, so you can display signage right out of the box, even without a computer. It is also compatible with various third-party Android apps, further expanding its flexibility.

H.265/HEVC Support
• The SoC controller supports the H.264/AVC and H.265/HEVC codecs.

Sharp Open Architecture Platform
• The PN-M401 features the Sharp Open Architecture Platform, which allows third-party software developers to create custom signage applications that open up additional possibilities for digital signage.

Flexibility and Expandability

Enhanced Image Quality
• With Full HD resolution and 450 cd/m² of brightness, the PN-M401 provides detailed images that are bright enough to be viewed in a variety of installation settings.

Flexible Installation Options
• Whether in landscape or portrait orientation, the PN-M401 can be installed face-up, face-down, or tilted forward or backward at angles up to 90°. Designed for easy hanging installation, it can be suspended from the four corners of the rear housing with wires, helping you meet numerous signage needs.

DisplayPort Daisy-Chaining
• Multiple PN-M401 displays can be set up on a daisy-chain configuration over DisplayPort, so you can display the same content simultaneously on all screens.

24/7 Operation
• The PN-M401 supports 24/7 operation, so your signage won't miss a beat.

Optional HDBaseT 2.0 Support
• Installing the optional PN-ZB03H HDBaseT Receiver Board allows the PN-M401 to receive HDMI video, audio, and control signals sent up to 328' via a single Ethernet cable, bringing convenient connectivity with HDMI-equipped devices such as computers and Blu-ray players. Compatibility with the HDBaseT 2.0 standard allows you to remotely operate a computer from a USB device connected to the board, reducing the number of cables required for installation.

Wireless Connectivity Option
• The optional PN-ZB03W allows up to 10 devices (including Mac and Windows computers, smartphones, and tablets) to connect to the PN-M401 simultaneously without any cable hassles. You can display the content of one device on the whole screen, or from up to four devices in a 2x2 split-screen.

Ready for Versatile Signage Support

Autoplay with Media Player
• Displaying still images or videos as signage content is easy. The built-in media player automatically starts playing the content that is stored either on your USB memory device, SD card, or internal storage when the display is powered on. It also has a schedule function that allows you to pre-register up to seven patterns for when you start/stop the content playback. In a slideshow, you can add visual effects between the still images. You can also make playlists that combine still images and videos.

Web-Based Signage
• With the HTML5 browser pre-installed, web content can be shown on the display as signage content. If the display is connected to the internet, just enter the URL in the HTML5 browser.

Sharp Content Distributor
• This software is designed to make it easy to update the content to be displayed on multiple displays. Through a simple computer operation, you can schedule what content gets distributed, when it gets delivered, and which displays show it.

Sharp e-Signage S Software
• This signage software provides support for satisfying individual user needs in the creation, scheduling, distribution, and management of a variety of signage programs for Sharp displays installed in offices, commercial establishments, public spaces, and other locations. The PN-M401 comes bundled with the standalone edition of this software, along with its player pre-installed on the onboard Android OS. Sharp e-Signage S software lets you create and edit signage programs via drag-and-drop operation. You can also lay out diverse content, such as still images, videos, HTML, and horizontal message bars, in a free layout frame to make signage programs easily. Additionally, you can create display schedules and timetables, and monitor the operational status of a designated display.
