P2 Compatibility
• The CitiDISK HD is designed to be used with Panasonic P2 solid-state recording technology. With the introduction of the AG-HVX200 HD camcorder, the P2 system is being widely adopted by professionals, independent filmmakers, and hobbyists around the world. Solving the major limitation of existing run times on P2 cards, the CitiDISK HD gives the added insurance of being able to shoot for longer periods of time. This can be extremely useful for shooting environments such as live concerts, weddings, and sporting events. The CitiDISK HD currently records all video as AVI2 or MOV files

Lightweight & Shock-Resistant
• The CitiDISK HD is built to be small and lightweight (only 10 oz), making it incredibly comfortable to use in the field. Its lightweight frame is still remarkably durable. The drive is equipped with shock-absorbing mounts, keeping data safe and secure (150G non-operational tested)

Camera-Controlled Recording
• The hard disk recorder records DV streams via the camera's REC button with a P2 card or tape inserted, or by CitiDISK HD's REC button without a P2 card or tape

Auto-Detects Incoming Video & Audio
• The CitiDISK HDV recorder automatically detects incoming DV, DVCPRO, DVCPRO50, and DVCPRO HD format streams and 2-channel/16bit/48 kHz, 2-channel/16-bit/44.1 kHz & 4-channel/12-bit/32 kHz audio sampling rates, and it provides recording & playback support for all of these formats

Archive DV Tape Content
• Press CitiDISK HD's REC button with a tape-based camera in VCR mode, and you'll be able to copy that taped content as AVI2 or MOV file formats to the hard drive's pre-formatted FAT32 folders

Play All and QPLAY Functions
• Need to review your footage immediately? Have no fear, the CitiDISK HD allows you to do this over its FireWire connection. Simply set the camera to VCR mode and either view all files from first recorded to last or view the last one stored using the "QPLAY" function

Loop Recording
• Loop scene recording allows the user to buffer a finite amount of runtime that is constantly being recorded in "stand-by" mode. This can be very effective for newsgathering when important events take place immediately before the camera operator has the ability to press record – loop recording ensures you won't miss a thing

Backup Power Management
• The CitiDISK HD power management feature has an embedded rechargeable lithium battery that can last up to 90 minutes in the event that the optional three-hour external battery (not included) runs out

Plug & Play Technology
• The CitiDISK HD can easily be used with editing systems. The drive automatically mounts on a computer as an external hard drive. Once the disk is mounted, simply copy the files into most NLEs. You won't need to convert MXF files for editing – your AVI2 or MOV files will be ready to go

Quick Erase Button & Utility Programs
• The convenient one-touch "Quick Erase" button provides instant file folder cleanup to re-claim hard disk space. Utility programs included (PC- and Mac-compatible)

Belt-Mounted Operation
• CitiDISK HD includes a belt clip-configured pouch so you can shoot from the belt, with a pouch pocket for multiple types of external battery packs
