Product description The Shure GLXD24/SM58 Handheld Wireless Basic Package Kit from includes a Shure GLXD4 digital wireless receiver (Z2 Band: 2400 - 2483.5 MHz), a GLXD2 handheld transmitter with an SM58 microphone capsule, a Shure SB902 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a Gator Cases GM-1W wireless mobile pack, an Auray MS-5230F tripod mic stand with a fixed boom, a premium microphone cable, and a black Auray foam windscreen for 1-5/8"-diameter microphones. Both the transmitter and the receiver feature Shure's LINKFREQ automatic frequency-management technology that allows you to scan for the clearest frequency available and automatically link to each other without any setup requirements other than turning both units on. The rechargeable SB902 lithium-ion battery provides up to 16 hours of operation on a full charge. Furthermore, the black Gator Cases GM-1W wireless mobile pack is a 600-denier nylon case with interior padding. It is designed to carry and protect an entire single wireless system and the zippered case has sufficient space for a lavalier microphone, cables, and accessories. In addition, the Auray tripod mic stand features a 31.5" boom arm and is built with all-steel construction. An ergonomic twist-action clutch helps adjust the height of the stand. Finally, the kit's premium XLR cable and black foam windscreen rounds out this package and provides everything you need to capture your vocal or speech performance in various applications. - Shure GLXD24/SM58 Handheld Wireless System (Z2 Band: 2400 - 2483.5 MHz) The GLXD24/SM58 Handheld Wireless System from Shure includes a GLXD4 wireless receiver and a GLXD2 handheld transmitter with an SM58 microphone element. The system operates on the 2.4GHz ISM band in the Z2 frequency band between 2400 and 2483.5MHz.
Both the GLXD2 transmitter and the GLXD4 receiver feature Shure's LINKFREQ automatic frequency management that allows them to scan for the clearest frequency available and automatically link to each other without any setup required from you besides turning both units on. With their continuous interference monitoring, both the transmitter and receiver automatically switch to the clearest frequencies available to avoid interference and dropouts.
The GLXD2 includes a rechargeable battery pack that provides up to 16 hours of operation on a full charge. It can be charged right in the GLXD4 receiver thanks to its integrated transmitter battery charging station. The system has a 200' range of operation and can be used with 7 other GLX-D systems simultaneously. This WHF-158 Foam Windscreen is designed for use with many common handheld microphones with a 1-5/8" diameter head. The density of the specialty acoustic foam is optimized to help protect the microphone element from air bursts without muffling the sound. When used on a handheld microphone, this windscreen is effective in minimizing wind noise and plosive sounds. It is most effective in calm to light breeze conditions (0-7mph), and can be used indoors for protection against drafts caused by air-conditioners. Users can generally expect a 4dB to 8dB reduction in wind noise, with very slight dampening of high frequencies. For most applications, the very slight high frequency dampening is a worthwhile exchange for the notable wind noise reduction.
