The Pitch Black Edition sports black foam and a matte black finish.Its supercardioid polar pattern maximizes rejection of off-axis sounds and the shock-mounted cartridge minimizes noise from vibrations. The 60 Hz to 17 kHz frequency response is tuned to suit reproduction of vocals and speech. An integrated swivel mount tilts up to 45° forward and 80° backward, enabling easy positioning of the mic.
