Product description A Guide to Birding with Spotting Scopes Read More With the largest objective lens in the series, the powerful straight-through viewing Sightmark Solitude SE 20-60x80 Spotting Scope is ideally suited for use in the field, on the trail, or at the range. It is outfitted with an oversized 80mm objective, fully multi-coated optics, and an aluminum-coated BK7 Porro prism system that draws in generous amounts of light to make it especially useful in challenging light conditions such as at dawn or dusk, or when trying to pick out game from under heavily canopied forests. Complementing the optical coatings is a broad zoom range that enables users to maximize the field of view at its lowest power, and with a simple twist of the zoom collar perform detailed observations of distant subjects. The scope housing is wrapped in a protective rubber armor, and the optical tube is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to an IP67-rating, making it dust and waterproof, as well as resistant to internal fogging in extreme conditions. It is further equipped with a rotating tripod collar to allow users to precisely place the eyepiece for maximum comfort, and a standard 1/4"-20 mounting thread for fast attachment onto various support systems. To get users viewing faster, Sightmark includes a highly portable, yet stable, adjustable tabletop tripod complete with a pan/tilt head. For maximum protection and portability, a tethered objective lens cap and a stay-on/view-through nylon carrying case are included. - Optical Performance
