Product description The Cameo 3 Electronic Cutting Tool from Silhouette is a device used to cut or draw an image or design in their Cameo desktop cutting system. The Cameo 3 is geared for DIY craft makers, hobbyists, design professionals, and teachers who work from home, small businesses, and schools. A full-color LCD touch-screen is located under the lid of the machine, which gives access to the different commands of the device and also mini tutorials for simpler navigation. A convenient sleep mode can be set to power down and conserve energy. The Silhouette Studio Software is included with the Cameo 3, and is PC and Mac compatible. Images can be designed, drawn, and cut out through the Cameo 3 via the software. Connecting the Cameo to a computer is possible with the included USB cable or by pairing both devices via the built-in Bluetooth. The dual carriage on the Cameo 3 can multi-task by using the AutoBlade system and using drawing pens, sold separately. The cutting system has a 2 mm (78.75 mil) cutting clearance and can cut through any material such as leather, vinyl, paper, and fabric. Through the software the AutoBlade system will self-adjust to the thickness of the material. AutoBlades are easily inserted or removed by pulling or pushing the tab on the carriage. The machine has a cutting width of 12" and adjustable slider bars to accommodate the various media sizes. A Crosscutter is located in the back of the unit to cut material from a roll as it is fed by the compatible Silhouette Roll-Feeder. Extra blades and tools are stored in compartments at the front of the Cameo 3. The PixScan app on your smartphone can capture, import, and upload an image as a file onto the Cameo 3, and then it's ready to be cut. - Full-color LCD touchscreen display
