Product description Designed with effortless operation in mind, the Portrait 2 Electronic Cutting Tool from silhouette is a small device that can cut designs sent via USB cable from your computer, or via Bluetooth from any compatible device such as smartphones and tablets. It handles media as wide as 8" and up to 10' long, cutting through several kinds of materials including paper, card stock, vinyl, and some fabrics. And thanks to its high 2mm clearance, you can install an optional deep-cut blade in this machine to give it the capability to cut through thick media if needed. To facilitate use, the Silhouette Studio software is included with the cutter and can be used on Windows or Mac computers. This program gives you access to 50 free cutting designs to choose from, and can also use PixScan technology to turn pictures of hand-drawn sketches into printable patterns. And by communicating with the included AutoBlade, the software can also adjust blade length and other settings automatically, so you can fine-tune the cutting parameters from the comfort of your chair. To complete the package is a one-month free subscription to the Silhouette Design Store, which allows you to purchase pre-made cutting patterns online so you don't have to create them yourself. Also included with the Portrait 2 is a USB cable for connection, a Bluetooth adapter, an 8" cutting mat, and a power cord. -
