Product description The Rackmount Storage Server Chassis RM420 from SilverStone is a high-performance storage server that is designed for use in professional environments by data center engineers. It has a 4U chassis form factor, 20 x 3.5" tool-less external drive bays, internal drive bays that support slim ODD, 2.5", and 3.5" form factors, 4 x hot-swappable 3.1 x 1.5" / 80 x 38mm PWN fans, 7 x PCI/PCIe slots, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, and an HDD backplane of 5 x 20-port SAS/SATA to SFF8087 with SGPIO. Also built-in is support for motherboards with up to an Extended ATX (E-ATX) form factor or SSI-EEB. Front buttons include power on/off, system reset, and alarm reset, while indicators will help alert users to the power status, HDD activity, LAN activity, fan failures, and overheating. Flexible mounts will accommodate most redundant 1+1 server power supplies and tool-less rail designs help simplify rackmount integration.
