Product description The RM316 16-Bay 3.5" Server Chassis from SilverStone features a 3 RU form factor and supports Extended-ATX and SSI-EEB motherboards, so you can build a server that is designed to fit into a rack cabinet. The RM316 comes with sixteen storage bays that are designed to hold 3.5" hard drives as well as a backplane to quickly connect SAS- or SATA-based storage drives. The backplane sports sixteen connectors for your drives and has four SFF8087 ports, which connect to optional HBA cards. Other notable bays include one internal 2.5" bay along with one external bay that can support an optical drive.
Aside from drive support, the RM316 is armed with four hot-swappable 80mm PWM fans for cooling your internal components. This chassis can accommodate up to two 2U power supplies and seven standard-profile PCI/PCIe adapter cards. There are also two USB 2.0 ports located on the front of the RM316 server chassis for easy access to thumb drives, input peripherals, and other devices. Additionally, an optional rail kit is available, offering you easy sliding access to the server for maintenance. - Backplane support for 16 SAS/SATA drives and four SFF8087 ports with SGPIO
