The SiOnyx Aurora IR Night Vision Camera Explorer Edition bundles the Aurora camera with key accessories used by hunting enthusiasts. The Aurora camera is a rugged action-style camera designed to capture your surroundings in extreme low-light conditions as well as under starlight, moonlight, and bright sunlight. The Aurora uses a 1" type CMOS sensor with large pixels that allow for clear image capture in low light. It records 720p video and 0.9MP stills to up to a 32GB microSD card. Video is captured at 8-60 fps selectable frame rates.
The bundled accessories complete the camera for the hunter. The Picatinny rail mount secures to the 1/4"-20 mount on the bottom of the camera and allows you to attach the 940nm IR Illuminator to your rifle. Two camera batteries and an Illuminator battery as well as chargers and a charging cable are supplied, and a 32GB microSD card is provided for storage. The camera and accessories are delivered in a robust, waterproof hard carry case that lets you keep everything organized in your adventures.
The Aurora camera features an all-glass 16mm lens with 3x digital zoom and f/1.4, 2.0, and 5.6 aperture settings. You can view your activities in color or monochrome using the OLED viewfinder. A diopter on the EVF offers a sharp view for users with and without corrective lenses. The camera offers Daytime, Twilight, and Night modes with the white balance set automatically to each mode. A focus peaking function and a manual focus ring are used to keep your images sharp. The Aurora also lets you live stream your content using the companion Aurora iOS/Android app.
The compact, lightweight Aurora has a waterproof rating of IP67, suiting it to hunting, boating, nature watching, and other outdoor activities. Additional features include GPS, an accelerometer, a compass, and a 1/4"-20 tripod mount thread. The included rechargeable lithium-ion batteries each provides a runtime of up to two hours.
