By unlocking the twist-locks, extending the legs, and pulling the rapid center column up, the tripod can reach a maximum height of 68.8". With the legs splayed out, and the column split to a short column, you can lower the tripod down to 8.5" off the ground. Once you're done, you can fold the legs 180° in the reverse to make a compact 22.1 support. The waterproof leg design enables you to place the 3.2 lb support in a body of water or shoot in the rain without incurring any water damage. At the same time, one of the legs is detachable, and it can convert into a working monopod. To make the monopod taller, the center column can be attached to supplement the height of the monopod.
