Product description The black 1SKB-R104 Audio and DJ Rack Case from SKB is produced through a process called rotational molding - a 3-stage heating process that results in evenness all around the edges of the case. The polyethylene material is inserted into a mold, and then gradually rotated until the material sticks to the edges of the mold in an even pattern. Once cooled, this plastic material forms a strong bond that minimizes sagging and potential collapse.Top and front rugged steel threaded rails provide secure mounting of your equipment. The rear door also provides rapid access to the gear. In addition, the hard lid and doors add security to an already durable case. It's been designed to even hold the SKB AV-8 Audio-Visual Shelf with the top closed. The case is complete with two TSA (Transportation Security Administration) trigger latches. A recessed handle makes for strong portability. Backed by its limited lifetime warranty, the Audio and DJ Rack Case offers security and durability for the pro and amateur alike. Note: Rack depth is listed at 6" (15.2 cm)and that is referencing the top of the rail on the slant portion of the case. At the bottom of the rail, the depth is 3.75" (9.5 cm). If nothing is mounted in the 4 spaces on the front, then the actual depth at top of the slant rail would actually be 13.5" (34.3 cm). After the first 3" (7.6 cm) from the bottom of the slant rail (and with nothing mounted in the 4 spaces on the front), the depth is 11.75" (29.8 cm). Product weight is without the optional 1SKB-AV8. The 1SKB-AV8 weighs 6 pounds (2.7 kg). - Side access for cable management
