Enhancements in this version include an updated engine for faster processing of raw image files, a real-time noise reduction tool, and Lookup Table (LUT) support for color management with the option of using built-in presets or loading your own .cube file. A big update is added support for third-party Adobe plugins, which makes Luminar an attractive alternative for those looking to bring in some of their Photoshop functionality. Other additions include a Lens Correction tool for removing distortion and chromatic aberration, and a Transform tool for perspective correction. Luminar offers a variety of adjustable photo editing filters, with over 40 of them available for enhancing your pictures. New to the 2018 version is a Sun Rays mode that generates scattering beams of light and a Matte filter that simulates a vintage print look, as well as the more traditional Dodge & Burn, Brilliance / Warmth, and Hue Shift options. Further customization can be achieved with advanced masking, which easily blends filters and layers for complete control. If one-click adjustments are your thing, Luminar also offers several presets for adding a flair or mood to your image, with the possibility of saving your own custom presets and sharing them with other users.
