Product description - The Slate Digital PARALLEL LIFT: The Two Knob Mix Fixer!
Available for download, the Slate Digital Custom Series Bundle provides two modules for the VMR 2.0 Ecosystem. It's also compatible with the original version of VMR. Both plug-ins are equalizers and can be used in mixing and mastering contexts. These are not strict one-to-one emulations. They are combinations of over a dozen analog EQ classics put into two dedicated equalizers meant to tackle the problem areas of your mix or emphasize and enhance the good spots. The Custom Series EQ sports an interesting design wherein each band is modeled on a different classic equalizer. Each band has its own circuit emulation, behaving differently depending on whether you're boosting or cutting. Controls are offered for low-pass, high-pass, low-shelving, two midrange parametric bands, and a high-frequency shelf. The Custom Series Lift is a parallel EQ based on passive designs. It can only boost, and it is intended to add hefty lows and smooth highs to tracks and mixes. It has two knobs: Low Lift, and High Lift, one affecting the lows, the other affecting highs. Below the Low Lift knob, you'll find two buttons that change the mode between Big and Punchy, which allow you to shape transient handling and low-information boosting in two different ways. The same principle applies to High Lift, which boosts Present and Silky buttons to shape the treble response. These modules operate within the VMR (Virtual Mix Rack) plug-in. When you want to use it in your DAW, simply instantiate the VMR plug-in, and you'll be able to access the Custom Series as well as any other VMR plug-in for which you currently own or have a subscription. The Custom Series is Mac and Windows compatible. These EQs can operate in VST, AU, and AAX formats. An iLok 2 or 3 is required to run the EQ. Note: This software requires an iLok 2 or 3 to run. The iLok is available separately. Table of Contents
