Product description - TRIGGER 2 - The Pro's Secret To HUGE Drums
Available for download, Slate Digital TRIGGER 2 Platinum gives you the ability to augment or replace any drum sound including kicks, snares, or toms in your mix, saving you the trouble of converting audio signals to MIDI and hunting for your own samples within your DAW.
With TRIGGER 2 Platinum, simply instantiate the plug-in on a drum track, and make use of the phase-accurate, multilayered engine to trigger drum sounds. Perhaps the kick drum you received from the recording engineer sounds different than what you would like. If that's the case, now you can improve the sound by adding one of the 33 kick drums provided in this software. The same is true for the snare as 46 different snares have been sampled, as have eight sets of toms.
TRIGGER 2 Platinum lets you layer up to eight multi-velocity samples in the mixer for your drums. So you can have close mics, overhead layers, room mic layers, all in one instance of the plug-in. Fine tune the triggering with Sensitivity, Detail, and Retrigger controls, so that you never misfire a sample. You can pan each sample, detune it, flip the phase, and balance the levels.
Additionally, Slate TRIGGER 2 Platinum offers a transient-driven gate. Use it to isolate the sound you wish to replace before sampling or on its own as a powerful tool for gating drums. Slate TRIGGER 2 Platinum is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, and operates in VST, AU, and AAX plug-in formats. You must have an iLok 1, 2, or 3 to use this product. Note: iLok 1, 2, or 3 is required to run this plug-in. iLok is available separately. - Vast Drum Library
- TRIGGER 2 Platinum comes stock with a library of the industry standard drum samples created by Steven Slate. All the samples in Trigger are recorded to 2-inch tape and processed with vintage and modern analog gear. TRIGGER can also load expansion libraries such as Steven Slate Deluxe, Chris Lord Alge, Terry Date, Blackbird Studios, and David Bendeth.
- Eight Layers of Samples
- TRIGGER 2 Platinum allows you to layer eight multi-velocity samples in the mixer. You can have multiple close mic layers, overhead layers, room mic layers, and more, all in one sample instance. Using the classic mixer, you can craft the perfect final sample tone. The eight-channel mixer also allows you to create hybrid sample sounds using different drum samples and mixing them together.
- Transient Gate
- TRIGGER 2 Platinum offers a transient gate, which can help you filter out low- or high-frequency material that might accidentally trigger the drum sample. This gate is also suitable for use as a classic gate—try it without any samples for a natural-sounding gate on drums.
- Leakage Suppression
- With TRIGGER 2 Platinum's leakage suppression, you can send spill tracks to the plugin, so it can intelligently ignore any leakage in your drum track. This way, you can achieve low-velocity sample replacement without accidentally triggering the sample.
- MIDI I/O
- TRIGGER 2 Platinum's MIDI engine allows you to trigger audio from MIDI. It can turn audio tracks into MIDI tracks via a simple drag-and-drop operation.
