Product description - Slate Digital VCC Virtual Console Collection 2.0
Available for download, the Slate Digital Virtual Console Collection, or VCC, is software intended for mixing engineers. It lets you get analog console tone in the digital realm. The VCC comes as two independent plug-ins, the Virtual Channel for individual track processing, and the Virtual Mixbuss for stereo bus processing.
Six different consoles have been faithfully modeled, including famous British and American mixing boards from the 70s and 80s. Class-A and Tube consoles alike can be summoned at will. Furthermore, the VCC lets you create up to eight different linkable groups, and switch among them with ease. This has multiple mixing application such as auditioning consoles across the entire mix quickly. To audition a console across the mix: Assign all instances of VCC to group 1; Turn grouping on; Switch from US A to British N. All with the click of a mouse, you can hear which tone better suits your mix.
Input, output, and drive controls are provided, so you can drive the VCC as hard or as subtle as you'd like. You can place these plug-ins anywhere in your chain, but it's advised that you start by placing the Virtual Channel as the first insert on all your tracks and the Virtual Mixbuss as the first plug-in on your master bus.
VCC operates in the Slate VMR (Virtual Mix Rack). When you want to use VCC in your DAW, simply instantiate the VMR plug-in, and you'll be able to access these modules, as well as any other VMR plug-in your currently own/subscribe to. These modules are Mac and Windows compatible. They can operate in VST, AU, and AAX formats. iLok 2 or 3 is required to run them. Note: iLok 2 or 3 is required to run Repeater. iLok is available separately. Table of Contents
