Product description - Slate Digital VIRTUAL PREAMP COLLECTION - Real Analog Preamp Tone For Your Mixes
Available for download, the Slate Digital Virtual Preamp Collection provides two modules for the VMR 2.0 Ecosystem that are also compatible with the original version of VMR. Both plug-ins are models of famous preamps and can be used in recording and mixing contexts. Two preamps are included: The FG-73 and the FG-76.
The FG-73 preamp module is modeled after a well-regarded discrete, solid-state preamp made in Britain and used on countless recordings. It has a bold, present, and warm sound that works well on many audio sources, including full mixes. A trim knob and a virtual drive knob are provided, as is a phase-reversal button.
The FG-76 is modeled after a vintage German tube preamp that has been used on many classic recordings. It has a thick and colorful tone that can make tracks and mixes sound more lively. The bottom end saturates in a musical way, making it a great module for bass guitar and kick-drum tracks. Drive, trim, and phase-reversal are provided again here.
These modules operate within the VMR (Virtual Mix Rack) plug-in. When you want to use it in your DAW, simply instantiate the VMR plug-in, and you'll be able to access the Virtual Preamp Collection, as well as any other VMR plug-in that you currently own or have a subscription. These modules are Mac and Windows compatible. They can operate in VST, AU, and AAX formats. An iLok 2 or 3 is required to run them. Table of Contents
