Product description Cinema Lens Care and Maintenance Read More Bring classic anamorphic imagery to your EF-mount camera with this SLR Magic 35mm 1.33x Anamorphot-CINE Lens and EF-Mount Adapter Kit from B&H. The included adapter is calibrated at the factory to have the perfect flange focal distance for adapting the PL-mount lens to EF-mount cameras. This ensures that the lens will focus to the correct distance marked on the focusing ring for accurate focus. Learn more about the items included in this kit in the descriptions below. - SLR Magic 35mm 1.33x Anamorphot-CINE Lens (PL Mount) Building upon their experience with anamorphic adapters, SLR Magic produced this 35mm 1.33x Anamorphot-CINE Lens that delivers a complete, one piece, anamorphic lens with a maximum aperture of T2.4. The lens provides a 2.35:1 aspect ratio to your image when used with your 16:9 sensor. Suitable for use with cameras with a S35 sensor, the anamorphic lens allows you record an image with a wider aspect ratio than your sensor's native aspect ratio without cropping your image, which maximizes the resolution of your image.
The lens incorporates a mask that exaggerates the anamorphic lens flare effect to simulate the look of a 2x anamorphic element. The lens features a 3.5' minimum focus distance and has geared focus and iris rings. It is worth pointing out that the front of the lens rotates as you focus, which may affect your choice of matte box. The 82mm front filter thread allows you to screw in filters, such as diopters to shorten the 3.5' minimum focus distance. - This 35mm lens produces a 2.35:1 aspect ratio on 16:9 sensors. This allows you to get a greater widescreen effect while maximizing your sensors resolution.
- The internal mask produces an anamorphic effect on flares closer to a 2x anamorphic without affecting the 1.33x optical anamorphic effect.
- Geared focus and iris rings allow use follow focus units or lens motors to pull your focus or iris.
- SLR Magic PL to EF-Mount Adapter Use the PL to EF-Mount Adapter from SLR Magic to mount PL lenses on your EF-Mount–DSLR or camcorder. This adapter enables you to expand your lens choices to include cine-style PL-mount lenses, whether vintage or new. Made from aluminum and titanium, the PL to EF-Mount Adapter features a positive-lock ring. Note: The PL/EF mount works with SLR Magic PL lenses only.
