Product description Multi-Monitors: Maximizing Multitasking Read More xwueyfwczqdbwftvedvveewadwyq The 8-port HDN-8P 4K Ultra HD KVM Switch from Smart AVI is a dedicated multi-platform KVM switch capable of managing up to eight different computers through a single HDMI monitor, one USB keyboard, mouse, and other USB 2.0 Device. It features SmartPreview technology, which enables simultaneous picture-in-picture monitoring of the other sources connected to the switch. This allows you to keep tabs on the other connected workstations without constantly needing to switch back and forth.The USB emulation technology utilized by HDN-8P enables immediate hotkey source-switching through a remote USB keyboard and mouse. HDN-8P is HDMI 1.4 and HDCP compliant, which supports 4K Ultra HD resolutions and 12-bit deep color at 1080p @ 60Hz. - Easy Source Switching
- The HDN-8P-S allows you to control up to eight Ultra HD equipped computers with HDMI and USB 2.0 outputs. It can not only be controlled remotely from keyboard hotkeys or RS-232 commands, but can also be controlled directly through the console's front panel.
- Flexible Control
- Any external device or program supporting RS-232 can control the HDN-8P-S. Hotkeys enable the user to switch and control all the different functions of the KVM system. When used with the optional SMTCP-2 TCP/IP converter, the user can switch and control the HDN-8P-S from anywhere in the world using a LAN or WAN connection.
- Flexible Sharing
- HDN-8P-S enables the use of a USB keyboard and mouse of one computer while other USB peripherals such as speakers, scanners and printers are connected to other computer sources. It maintains the ability to switch all connected devices to any one of the computer sources.
- EDID Learning & Programming
- Detection of DDC signals for all attached devices is easy with HDN-8P-S due to its real EDID learning and programming. This is vital in optimizing the resolution of the selected graphics card to properly display on the remote monitor. Furthermore, the EDID learning feature continues to replicate the right DDC for the computer to enable the display card to effectively work when unused ports are not selected.
- USB Keyboard and Mouse Emulation
- The USB keyboard and mouse emulation utilized by HDN-8P-S provides accurate and quick source switching by means of keyboard hotkeys and mouse actions. HDN-8P-S imitates the presence of a keyboard and mouse for every attached computer through a USB cable. This is essential as it simulates the existence of the keyboard and mouse to all the computers while switching without interruptions.
