Product description The HLX-500 Chainable HDMI Extender from Smart-AVI consists of the HLX-TX500 Transmitter and HLX-RX500 Receiver. A single extender extends HDMI signals up to 500' via LAN. However, multiple extenders can be chained to generate thousands of feet of HDMI signal extension, breaking distance barriers. Users can set up their own extension cabling or utilize the pre-existing LAN infrastructure they have access to. The HLX-500 HDMI Extender uses compressed data to utilize Cat5e/6 cables, but users will see no degradation of signal when using one Gigabit Internet connections and up. For users utilizing pre-existing LAN connections, implementing a one Gigabit switch allows for full resolution extension. Users with lesser bandwidth will experience compressed signals, if they choose. With no software or driver required, users can easily extend HDMI signals from sources such as HDTVs, Blu-ray players, and video game consoles. The HLX-500 Extender supports up to Full HD 1080p video at 60 Hz, and can be controlled with an IR remote control (not included).
