Together, the tripod extends from 23.1" to 61", weigh 3.8 lb, and can hold up to 8.8 lb. The 4-section legs are adjusted and secured via twist locks, and can be set to one of three angle positions, with a split center column to allow the legs to reach their widest angle. A weight can be hung from the column's ballast hook to add stability, and a bubble level on the chassis helps ensure your horizon will be straight.
The included BH5X ball head is an Arca-type compatible head that features tension control and separate locks for the ball and the 360° panning. A 90° notch in the head allows you to easily switch from landscape to portrait orientation, and another bubble level helps to align your camera with the horizon. The included quick-release plate attaches to your camera's 1/4"-20 tripod socket.
