Product description Designed with water sports in mind, the low-profile 55mm Water Repelling Circular Polarizer from Snake River Prototyping reduces glare and reflections on the water's surface, enhances contrast contrast between clouds and sky, and improves color saturation. It features a water-repellent coating designed to shed water after being immersed, letting you worry more about the next wave than keeping the filter clear. The slim filter attaches to any lens with a 55mm filter thread, and is compatible with the GoPro Standard Housing via the optional BlurFix3+ 55 adapter, letting you use the filter with the GoPro HERO3, HERO3+, and HERO4. A large O-ring is included to create an air-tight seal between the filter and the adapter, which prevents water from seeping behind the filter.
Note: Water droplets will form on the filter in a light mist. Immersion in water will clear the droplets. - Light-Reducing ND8
- The ND aspect of the filter cuts light by approximately 3 stops. This helps prevent overexposure on bright days and allows the camera to retain a lower shutter speed for more natural motion blur. The filter may also reduce the appearance of rolling shutter artifact, a "motion skewing" or "wobbly" effect present on many CMOS-based cameras
- Circular Polarizer
- The circular polarizer helps cut glare and reflections on water, snow, glass, and other glossy surfaces – this effect is intensified or reduced by rotating the filter. It also increases sky contrast and can help make outdoor scenes appear more vibrant. Because polarization depends on the angle from which light strikes the glass, the effect may change if the camera is moving
- Low-Profile Form Factor
- Helps ensure the filter won't vignette on cameras like the GoPro that have extremely wide-angle lenses
