Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More Snypex improved on the design of their top-tier line to produce this 8x50 Knight D-ED Binocular. They upgraded their eyepiece lens configuration to 4-groups/6-elements, and the objective to 5-elements/4-groups to improve the optical quality and overall image brightness. Complementing this improvement is the use of large, oversized objectives made of fully multi-coated extra low-dispersion glass, and dielectric-coated phase-correcting BAK4 prisms. These technologies work together to produce bright and clear images with accurate color rendition across the entire field of view without distortion. This iteration is made with a versatile 8x magnification and 50mm objectives to give it broad usage in all lighting conditions from pre-dawn to dusk, with reduced visible hand-shake versus its higher-power version, while preserving the short close focus distance. The Knight's open-bridge design helps to reduce weight without sacrificing strength, and provides a large surface area to hold, even with the compact housing. Rubber armoring gives protection from drops and impacts while helping to provide a non-slip grip. Designed for durability, the lightweight magnesium/aluminum alloy housing is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for fogproof performance and makes it submersible. Twist-up eyecups provide a custom-fit eye relief for use with or without eye-wear. - Performance
