Product description A Guide to Birding with Spotting Scopes Read More The straight-viewing Knight T80 ED-APO 20-60x80 Spotting Scope from Snypex combines a large objective with extra-low dispersion (ED) apochromatic (APO) lenses and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to produce a spotter that can be used in the field or at the range in all lighting conditions. The APO-ED lenses correct for spherical and chromatic aberrations to create high-contrast images with true color transmission and reduced distortion, especially at the edges of the field of view. Its large 80mm objective increases the low-light performance for spotting game and wildlife at dawn and dusk, or in heavily wooded areas with a thick canopy. Anti-reflection optical coatings further help with the low-light performance by reducing light loss, so views through the scope are bright and clear. On the right side of the housing is the dual focus wheel system. A large course-focus wheel brings subjects into focus fast and then the small inner wheel can be used to precisely focus with pinpoint accuracy. The housing is waterproof and nitrogen filled for fogproof performance, and a twist-up eyecup allows for a custom eye relief with or without eyewear. - Optical Performance
