Product description Softube Doepfer A-188-1 BBD is a Bucket Brigade Device (BBD) delay expansion module for the company's Modular virtual synthesizer plug-in. Faithfully emulating the hardware of the original Doepfer A-188-1 BBD Eurorack module, it models the sought-after warm-and-dirty sound of early, delay-based units of the 70s and 80s, which used a chain of capacitors to sample and delay the signal with increasing loss of fidelity as the delay line got longer. The module provides a range of creative options to add all kinds of grungy delays, sharp slapbacks, flangers, choruses, swirly ambiences, Karplus-Strong synthesis effects, or just utter craziness to any sound, from drums, guitars, and vocals to synths and more. The Doepfer A-188-1 BBD offers six distinct BBD models in one module, each featuring a different number of stages (128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, and 4096). The module can be used within synth patches in Modular or for processing external audio in Modular FX. You can blend the modulated delay signal in parallel with the dry signal or use the wet output separately. The software is controllable manually or via CV signals. - Key Features
