Product description Available for download, the Softube Weiss Compressor/Limiter is a variant of the Weiss DS-MK3, a line-by-line port of the original hardware's code into a plug-in format. The Compressor/Limiter plug-in strips away the more esoteric parameters found in the original, such as release delay, the release average section, and the de-esser. Instead, it focuses exclusively on transparent mastering tools. Use this plug-in as a transparent compressor in your mix/master buss, use it at the end of the chain as your limiter—or use separate instances in both places, as it's CPU load is light enough for multiple instantiations.
A parallel mix knob is on hand for adding your original, unprocessed signal into the mix. Controls such as parallel mix knee settings, side-chain filtering, and mid/side operation have been preserved for customizing the operation to your specific mix's needs. Detailed visuals and metering aid you with multiple means of seeing exactly how the plug-in is affecting your signal as you make decisions crucial to the mix and mastering process. Compatible with Mac and Windows formats, the Weiss Compressor/Limiter is suitable for use most major DAWs. Table of Contents
