Product description Bringing their VHD mic preamp technology from their Duality console to the 500 Series format, the VHD 500 Series Microphone Preamplifier from Solid State Logic is capable of delivering a range of sonic options. Its basic architecture provides classic SSL SuperAnalogue clean sounds, popular for tracking piano, acoustic guitar, and vocals. However, with the VHD button engaged, the preamp adds controllable second and third harmonic distortion, which can be dialed in from subtle warmth to high-gain transistor distortion. The selectable pad allows you to drive line levels to the VHD 500 as well, to use its VHD circuit during mixdown. - Clean SSL SuperAnalogue grade preamp
- Switchable VHD system adds controllable 2nd or 3rd harmonic distortion
- Switchable LF Filter (15 to 500 Hz)
- Hi-Z switch for high impedance microphone use
