Product description Available for download, Sonible’s smart:EQ+ is equalization software particularly suited for post-production scenarios, such as film, TV, radio, and podcasting. It also works well in musical contexts. The software utilizes algorithms that learn the frequency response of audio passing through it, generating a corrective curve to ameliorate any spectral issues. The GUI of smart:EQ+ is simple enough to grasp. You're given a fairly standard-looking frequency analyzer. Press the wand button however, and a curve based on the incoming audio signal is generated. Provided with this curve are nodules to foster further tweaking. These nodules, called smart bands, respond to the shape of the generated frequency curve, further tailoring the intelligent preset. Thus, when you boost a smart band, you don't boost a given frequency; instead, you balance out the audio and mitigate unwanted resonances at the same time, all while enhancing that selected frequency range.Underneath the frequency analyzer are smoothing controls that change the granularity of your bespoke curve, from a jagged shape that clings tightly to the problematic audio, to a more rounded curve reminiscent of traditional equalizer shapes.At the top, you’ll note more familiar band-specific controls such as frequency, level of boost/attenuation, and Q. With these controls, you can operate the smart:EQ+ like a traditional equalizer. Should you wish to forego the spectral analyzer and just use your ears, you can through the blind:flug mode, which expands the layout of band-specific controls. The EQ operates in two different modes. For most purposes, standard will do the job. If you run into some tricky audio in dialogue or interview scenarios, speech mode might be in order. Selecting between the two is an easy affair, with prominent labels for both displayed below the frequency analyzer. This software is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms, and can run in AU, VST2, VST3, and AAX formats. Authorization can be achieved on your machine or with a Pace iLok. - Automatic Audio Analysis & Frequency Correction

- In film, TV, or radio broadcasting, deadlines are of the utmost importance, and mixes must be ready for prime time in short order. With smart:EQ, editing ADR and bolstering the quality of improperly recorded dialogue can be achieved quickly and effectively.
- Speech Mode for Post Production
- Did your mic not capture your interview subject correctly? This EQ has a tool for that particular situation: speech mode. When switching to speech mode, smart:EQ+ attunes itself to the human voice, generating a suitable vocal response for video purposes.
