Product description The Presto Gigabit Ethernet Pro ExpressCard/34 from Sonnet helps you to add an additional Gigabit Ethernet port to your MacBook Pro, or to upgrade to Gigabit Ethernet connectivity on your Windows notebook. It is compatible with models of MacBook Pro and Windows notebooks that have an ExpressCard/54 or ExpressCard/34 slot. The card supports link aggregation with Mac's onboard Gigabit Ethernet port and full duplex communication to achieve 2000Mb/s transfer rates. This ExpressCard/34 also supports 9000 byte jumbo packet transfers (compared to 1500 byte standard packets) to support higher performance and reduced overhead when transferring large files. It can significantly improve data transfer speeds, especially when connecting to multiple servers and/or networks. The ExpressCard/34 improves the notebook's performance and takes it up to desktop speed. This card is also compatible with a Mac that has a Thunderbolt port when used with Sonnet's Echo ExpressCard Pro Thunderbolt adapter and SxS media reader. It offers simple configuration, is user-friendly, and supports 1000/100/10BaseT auto-negotiation. The full/half duplex communication enables it to be used in most networks. - Presto provides gigabit Ethernet connectivity to Mac and PC notebooks with ExpressCard slots
