Product description

• Covering wide-angle to portrait-length perspectives, this standard full-frame 28-75mm zoom will serve as a relatively compact all-around lens choice, covering a variety of different shooting scenarios. It can also be used on APS-C cameras where it has an equivalent focal length of 42-112.5mm.

• A constant f/2.8 maximum aperture offers consistent performance throughout the zoom range and also lends greater control over focus position for shallow depth of field techniques.

• Three extra-low dispersion glass elements are featured in the lens design to help reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing for improved clarity and color neutrality.

• Four aspherical elements are incorporated in the lens design to reduce astigmatism, field curvature, coma, and other monochromatic aberrations.

• By incorporating a Smooth Autofocus Motor (SAM) unit into the lens itself to drive the focusing element group, this lens is able to deliver smoother, quieter, and faster performance than coupled systems. Also, the internal focusing design helps to achieve a minimum focus distance of 15".

• A zoom lock switch prevents the lens barrel from accidentally extending when not in use.

• Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality when employing selective focus techniques.
