Product description The Sony B4 and PL-Mount Lens Adapter Kit for PMW-F5 / F55 allows you use 2/3" B4 lenses with the Sony PMW-F5 or F55 camera. The kit includes the B4S16PL B4 to PL-Mount Super 16mm Adapter, and the LAFZPL12P PL to Sony FZ-Mount Adapter with Hirose 12-Pin Connector.
The PL to FZ-Mount adapter converts the F5 or F55's native FZ-mount to a PL-mount for use with a wide range of cinema zoom and prime lenses. It features electronic contacts for both Cooke /i and ARRI Lens Data System (LDS) interfaces for passing lens metadata to the camera. It also provides a Hirose 12-pin connector to support bidirectional communications with analog and digital lenses equipped with a Hirose 12-pin cable, such as 2/3" lenses when using the 2/3" B4 to PL-mount adapter.
When used in conjunction, the B4 to PL-mount and PL to FZ-mount adapters allow you to use 2/3" lenses when shooting in the F5 or F55's 2K Center Scan mode, which takes a Super 16mm-sized crop of the camera's sensor. The Hirose 12-pin connection allows the camera to display lens metadata information, such as focus, zoom, and iris, in the viewfinder. The metadata is also recorded and output over SDI. The 2/3" B4 adapter features high-quality optics with no image degradation and less then one stop of light loss. -
