Product description Designed to get the organizational part of the process out of the way first, Sony's Catalyst Prepare can be thought of as pre-postproduction software. It allows you to offload and backup footage from camera media, organize files, apply non-destructive color correction, do basic editing, create storyboards, and more.
Catalyst Prepare supports files from a range of cameras, including models from Sony, Canon, GoPro, and works at resolutions up to 4K. Once the rough cut is ready, files can be exported in a range of NLE-friendly codecs or uploaded directly to Sony's Ci Media Cloud Services for remote collaboration. By getting media transferred and organized ahead of time, editors are able to concentrate on their actual job - editing. This is especially a boon given the time-strapped nature of today's production schedules.
