Product description Essential Guide on How to Mic Talent for Video Read More The black Sony ECM-66B Lavalier Condenser Microphone design yields a clean, natural reproduction of voice or musical instruments while maintaining a suitable isolation from the acoustic environment. Unlike most miniature microphones, this mic has a cardioid polar pattern carefully contoured for better feedback control. The higher voltage supplied to the microphone by the built-in DC to DC converter increases the maximum input sound pressure level to 130 dB SPL. This construction also complements the electret condenser design, resulting in excellent transient response and thus better tonal quality. For added versatility, the ECM-66B can be powered by a single AA battery or external 48V phantom power. The battery on/off switch on the power supply helps to save the battery. An LED illuminates to show the battery condition when power is turned on. - 2-way powering—AA-size battery or 48V phantom power
- 130 dB maximum input sound pressure level
- Designed for voice or instrumental applications
- Complete with in-line battery unit for 2-way powering
