Product description Enjoy up to 45 hours of portable, high-resolution audio with the Sony NW-A45L Walkman Digital Music Player, offered here in a moonlit blue finish. This Walkman supports playback of PCM, AAC, WMA, and MP3 audio files, among others. It features 16GB of internal flash memory and supports microSD cards. The NW-A45 also boasts a 3.1" TFT color LCD touchscreen with an 800 x 480 resolution. Its built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 45 hours of continuous audio playback on a full 4-hour charge. This Walkman utilizes several audiophile-friendly technologies, including DSD over PCM Playback and DSEE HX upscaling. Sony's wireless codec, LDAC, delivers a higher bit rate than standard Bluetooth, so you can enjoy an enhanced listening experience with a compatible pair of wireless headphones. You can also pair the Walkman with other compatible devices over conventional Bluetooth with NFC. The NW-A45’s proprietary operating system works with Mac and Windows computers, and utilizes a simple drag-and-drop process for quickly moving songs from your computer library to the Walkman. Also, you can use the NW-45L as a USB DAC, circumventing your computer’s sound card and achieving better sound in the process through the unit’s S-Master HX amplifier. - Hi-Resolution Amplifier

- The Digital Sound Enhancement Engine HX (DSEE HX) upscales compressed digital music files such as MP3, AAC, ATRAC, and WMA, bringing them closer to the quality of high-resolution audio.
- Precision-Engineered Build
- The circuit board of the NW-A40 Series has been engineered for efficiency. The layout from the battery to the audio block minimizes the power loop, making the power supply stable. This results in a clear sound with solid low end. Other precision-engineered components include lead-free solder on the circuit board and the S-Master HX chip (CXD-3778GF), resulting in an efficient electronic connection.
- Ambient Sound Mode with Compatible Headphones
- Listening to music but still want to hear the outside world? When you're using compatible IER-NW500N headphones, select Ambient Sound Mode and the NW-A45L will let in external sounds to keep you aware of your surroundings.
- LDAC Transmission
- LDAC uses a conventional Bluetooth connection, but transfers at a maximum data transfer rate up to 990 kbps–approximately three times that of other audio profiles. The result is a wireless listening experience capable of streaming PCM files with high sample rates.
- USB DAC
- Use your NW-A45L as a USB DAC (digital-analog converter) by pairing it with a Mac or Windows PC. When connected and activated using the supplied USB cable, the unit replaces your computer's regular sound processing with its own hardware.
- Touchscreen Controls
- With the large, full-color touch screen, you can change tracks, create playlists, and more.
- Bluetooth with NFC
- Near Field Communication (NFC) and Bluetooth technology make connecting to your music fast and easy. Just touch your NFC-enabled device to the NW-A45L for a seamless connection, then start streaming.
