Product description Enjoy wireless audio streaming and 4K HDR video pass-through with the Sony STR-DH790 7.2-Channel A/V Receiver. It features Bluetooth connectivity for wireless connection to compatible devices. It delivers up to 145W per channel at 6 Ohms for robust audio playback. D.C.A.C. sound optimization will help simplify your speaker setup and tailor the output to your listening area.
The STR-DH790 has four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, all of which support 4K resolution, HDR, HDCP 2.2, and 3D. It also has a headphone jack for private listening. - With HDR pass-through support, you can enjoy the enhanced image contrast and brightness, shadow detail, and highlights with compatible content and devices. The HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision formats are supported. The 4K pass-through feature allows data to pass through the receiver without compromising image quality thanks to HDCP 2.2 compliance.

- Dolby Atmos surround sound technology dispenses with channel-based coding in favor of more advanced object-based coding, giving the sound designer the ability to precisely place sounds anywhere in the 3-dimensional space. The STR-DH790 features the ability to connect a 5.1 surround sound speaker system and two additional overhead speakers, or two additional Dolby Atmos-certified up-firing speakers.

- DTS:X decoding delivers multi-dimensional surround sound that adapts to your speaker configuration in real time. Sound is positioned precisely around and above you thanks to object-based audio decoding.
- Flexible Surround Sound Options
- Immerse yourself in movie action with a 7.2-channel configuration, experience object-based surround sound with a 5.1.2-channel setup, or enjoy virtual surround with S-Force PRO Front Surround. DCAC (Digital Cinema Auto Calibration) automatically optimizes the sound based on where you sit in relation to your speakers to enhance sound quality.

- If you're working with different combinations of speakers, Digital Cinema Auto Calibration (DCAC) will have them all deliver the same sound quality. Automatic Phase Matching aligns the phase characteristics of your speakers to the front left and right speaker channels, so they all work together to deliver to deliver a more effective surround sound experience.
