Product description The wall-mountable VPL-SX236 3300-Lumen XGA Short Throw Data Projector from Sony is a colorful and bright projector. It features 3LCD Sony "BrightEra" panels to help enhance the vivid 3300 lumens of brightness. For energy saving, the lamp dimming function reduces the lamp power usage and lamp power consumption. Its low TCO and usability allow you to enjoy bright images for a longer time. Smart Connection with PC, tablet and smartphone is also supported. The wireless presentation capability makes it simple to present files from your PC or smartphone/tablet. The VPL-SX236 is suitable for use with a whiteboard. The short throw distance of 29.5" for an 80" screen makes it useful in classrooms with limited space. - Short Throw Distance
- The projector's short focal length lens allows an 80" (diagonal screen size) image to be projected from a distance of only 29.5" from the screen. The presenter is not distracted by the projected image, and it's easier for the audience to see the projected image as on screen shadows from the presenter are minimized.
- Energy Efficient with up to 10,000-Hour Lamp Life
- High performance lamp technology offers reduced ownership costs plus reduced maintenance, with a lamp replacement time of approximately 10,000 hours (with brightness in low mode).
- Advanced Energy-Saving Features
- Advanced lamp technology enables a range of energy-saving features. Auto Light Dimming mode saves energy when the projector is left on without being used.
Auto Picture Mode automatically adjusts light output to suit the projected scene. Touching a button on the remote mutes the picture temporarily, dramatically reducing power consumption. - Low TCO
- The lamp dimming function reduces lamp power usage and lamp power consumption. Its low total cost of ownership (TCO) and usability lets you enjoy bright images for a much longer time.

- Just touch the ECO MODE key on the projector or supplied Remote Commander to instantly access energy-saving settings.

- With a 3300 lumen maximum light output (in high mode), the VPL-SX236 delivers crisp, bright presentations that can be seen clearly in classrooms or meeting rooms. There's a choice of three brightness modes to suit various environments, from bright daylight to darkened rooms.
- Choice of Picture Modes
- Available picture modes include Dynamic, Standard, Presentation, and Blackboard. Combined with a choice of three brightness modes, you can select the most suitable setting to suit various picture sources and presentation environments.
- Networked Presentations
- Project presentations from a networked Windows or Mac computer. Present JPEG, PDF and other files wirelessly from a tablet or smartphone. Up to four users can project computer images simultaneously, while up to eight users can connect to one projector. The Projector Station for Network Presentation application for Windows/Mac is included. For tablet/smartphone use, an application is provided by Pixelworks, downloaded from the web.
- Control and Management from Any Networked PC
- Projector functions and status can be managed and monitored remotely from any networked PC, using the included Projector Station for Network Control application.
- Present Wirelessly
- Make presentations wirelessly from a portable or handheld device. Windows/Macintosh OS requires Projector Station for Network Presentation application. iOS/Android requires VueMagic application.
- Remote Control for iPhone/iPad/Android Phone
- Download the free Projector Remote app and control the projector from anywhere in the room with your handheld device, with simple easy-to-read buttons on your phone or tablet.
