Product description The Sony XDCAM Archive Management System, (2 Server Package) is an easy to use system that helps manage, find and archive all your media and metadata. This management system can be used in conjunction with various news/edit systems, workstations, connected devices, and users in the field — making it the perfect set of tools for on and offline content. This turnkey file-based content archive management solution comes pre-installed with all client applications that are accessible through a standard IT network, making setup and integration into existing systems a breeze.
Using a central server, the XDCAM archive system can manage all your material and uses XDCAM Professional Discs as the offline shelf archive format. Like XDCAM Professional Discs, all clips on the archive system have a low resolution proxy and a hi-resolution version. The proxy files are always available on the system server, while the hi-resolution files are either kept online or archived offline to the XDCAM Professional Discs. Not just video, XDCAM archive manages all your documents, pictures, music clips, and graphics; in fact anything you want!
This intuitive system offers great tools for digitizing, importing, cataloguing, and archiving, besides supporting ingesting of video content from both file-based and tape-based materials. With the XDCAM archive system, you get a fast and convenient method to add and edit metadata fields for video content. Additionally, it also allows you to customize your search parameters and quickly locate any file on the system. Ingest - Media types include XDCAM, XDCAM EX, NXCAM, P2*1, Apple ProRes2, Avid DNxHD3, audio, pictures, documents, Flash, SDI4 capture, etc
- Compatible with USB devices such as the PDW-U1/U2*1, SxS card readers, P2 card readers, and HDDs
- Supports file upload from local folders or shared storage folders
- Archive ingest client SDI option allows clip and essence mark preview, partial, full, and batch file import, storyboard creation, upload of files from a hot folder/FTP server, and tape-based real-time ingest

- View the file list (file path/duration/size), set the content category and security level, and mark shot locations using the mark-on map button
Search - Keyword searches and advanced queries for registered content
- Allows creation and import date ranges, specify content type, and storage status
- Quick location of files via filters such as content category and import time
- Metadata search allows search results to be shown as thumbnail lists which can be viewed without any latency
Archive - Easy replication of physical media for offline shelf storage
- Restoration of media by organizing online storage as individual virtual (graphic illustration) XDCAM Professional Discs
- Preview disc content via virtual thumbnail
- Drag-and-drop process from a virtual disc to an XDCAM recording device
- Automatic organization of virtual online and offline disc content based on preset conditions for disc grouping and shelf assignment
- Online content deleted based on archive deletion policy
Export - Exports content in original format or transcodes it to a supported output format (with an XML file)
- Supports export to network-attached production systems, FTP devices, or to a local HDD
- Order list can be exported to form compilation of clips and/or data files for distribution on a single XDCAM Professional Disc
- Supports export of created storyboard from the order list
