Product description Well suited for lighting techs, mobile and club DJs, touring DJs, and DJs who play alongside vocalists and MCs, the SoundSwitch is an advanced digital lighting workstation that quickly and easily syncs DMX lighting visuals with live audio seamlessly. The software is compatible with Serato DJ, Virtual DJ, Traktor DJ Pro 2, and Ableton Live. Create lighting displays and play them back without compromising the freestyle nature of live performance. SoundSwitch puts live control in the DJs hands, enabling them to play any song, in any order, while their lighting remains in sync.
The SoundSwitch hardware box features a 3-pin DMX connector to communicate with intelligent lighting fixtures, while the included USB cable connects to your computer. Once setup, the software provides two modes including edit and performance. Edit mode allows you to set up your venue and provides access to a large, cloud-based library of popular fixtures, including LED PAR cans, moving heads, lasers, scanners, and atmospheric effects, such as CO2 cannons and haze machines. Access songs from an iTunes or DJ software library, set your beat grid, and start timeline-sequencing your light's intensity, color, strobe, pan & tilt, and more.
Performance mode allows you to seamless DJ while controlling the SoundSwitch software in the background. Simply load a song and hit play, and all the programming that was performed in edit mode is played back in total synchronicity. What's more, pitch adjustments, scratching, and looping on-the-fly will keep your audio and lighting tightly integrated. The crossfader not only blends two audio tracks, but also blends the lighting scripts. If you don't wish to program scripts for every song in your library, you can create banks of autoloops, which generate patterns in time with the BPM and can be used with any unscripted track for on-the-fly performances. -
