Product description The black IW31-EZ In-Ceiling Speaker from SoundTube Entertainment is a 3” in-wall speaker for applications requiring 8Ω impedance or distributed audio solutions. The speaker incorporates a low-profile grille with a total visible footprint of 5 in2 and an integrated backcan and driver design for compact installations in wall plates.
The in-wall speaker includes a 6-position tap switch with a voice coil direct position. It also includes mounting hardware and features a fast and secure constant-tension SpeedWing mounting system. All components in the speaker are completely weatherized for indoor and outdoor applications.
Engineered for easy installation and low-profile mounting for smaller venues, this in-ceiling speaker is suitable for retail, restaurants, conference rooms, educational facilities, transportation hubs, correctional facilities, or any setting where full-range intelligibility, low-profile design, and in-wall installation ease are paramount. For additional bass response down to 41 Hz (- 10 dB), the SM1001p powered 10” subwoofer (available separately) may be incorporated. - Compact design with a total visible footprint of 5 in2
- 3" full-range high-extrusion, high-fidelity polypropylene driver with butyl rubber surround
- Corrosion-resistant, powder-coated aluminum grille with snap-fit attachment
- 3.75" deep with integrated backcan, driver, and baffle configuration
- Easy installation, blind-mount fixed-wing mounting mechanism with constant tension design that can be attached to walls with thicknesses ranging from 0.1" (2.5mm) to 1.5" (38.1mm)
