Product description The Spectra-Cine Candela SC-800 PhoRad IIIA Photometer is designed for Radiologist and Radiographers application. However, the broad appeal of this meter is that it can be used by any photographer, industrialist, architect or planner wishing to achieve precise ambient light readings. This innovative, hand-held radiographic optical instrument has been specifically designed to measure ambient light intensity in footcandles or lux. Why is this meter critically important to the medical and business industry? Correct and accurate diagnosis in hospitals and doctors clinics greatly depends upon the conditions under which radiographs and images are viewed. For clinics and offices that maintain delicate and sensitive equipment (viewing boxes, image workstation monitors, image intensifier monitors), it is very important to know the precise ambient room illumination (the amount of light falling on the viewing surfaces) in lux. In addition, designers of office space often find it necessary to assure that all desk and work areas are evenly lit.
