Product description Ideal for astronomy, bird watching, and a wide variety of other outdoor activities, the Starlight Innovation PL1 Para-Light I Parallelogram AZ Mount allows you to enjoy fatigue-free use with cameras, telescopes, spotting scopes, and large-aperture/high-magnification astronomic binoculars. The parallelogram design allows movement along four axes for precise positioning and tracking whether you're standing or sitting, while using a counterbalance system for smooth movement and reduced vibration. The counterbalance system allows for precise balancing of a wide variety of gear, and with the included 5-pound counterweight the mount has an 8-pound payload capacity. If you add a second optional weight, the payload increases to 16 pounds, and with a third weight it goes up to 24 pounds.A 1/4"-20 socket on the base allows it to attach to most photo/video/field/telescope tripods and a 2-piece design enables smooth, frictionless 360° rotation. The hinged parallelogram design lets you move the optic up and down through a wide 24" range of motion while keeping the gear flat and parallel to the ground. A hinge on the optic mount lets you swing it forward and back, and a single adjustment thumbscrew provides upward and downward rotation of the optic mounting surface. The parallelogram system is made of Baltic birch plywood and ash, which provides natural vibration suppression and rigidity.
